About Janis Krause Acupuncture
The groundwork of all happiness is health. ~ Leigh Hunt

My journey into acupuncture began in northern B.C. while working as a Certified Dental Assistant. Struggling with chronic neck pain and debilitating headaches, I turned to acupuncture as a last resort after years of trying other treatments. After just three sessions, I finally found the relief I had been searching for. This transformative experience inspired me to leave the dental field and dedicate my life to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and natural healing.
In June 2007, I graduated with a diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson, B.C., completing over 3,200 hours of rigorous study before passing my provincial licensing exams. Today, I am a proud member of both the Professional Traditional Chinese Medicine Association of Saskatchewan (PTCMAAS) and the Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada (CMAAC).
Committed to providing the highest standard of care, I have completed advanced training in specialized techniques, including Motor Points, Dr. Tan’s Balance Acupuncture, and Meridian Theory with Dr. Spears. My practice centers on treating the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. Whether you are managing chronic pain, navigating stress and anxiety, or simply looking to optimize your health, my goal is to help you restore balance and achieve lasting well-being.
