1st Trimester:  Weekly acupuncture treatments until 12 - 14 weeks of your pregnancy. Acupuncture during this time focuses on preventing miscarriage and helps with nausea and vomiting, increase energy, prevent constipation and bloating, and reduce anxiety and help with sleep.

2nd Trimester:  Women can benefit from receiving one acupuncture treatment every 4  - 6 weeks dependent on individual needs. Acupuncture can help maintain health and alleviate common pregnancy ailments like back pain, hip pain, headaches, stress, pelvic pain, sciatica and indigestion.

3rd Trimester:  Weekly acupuncture treatments starting at 32 weeks if your baby is in the breech presentation, otherwise weekly treatments starting at 37 weeks.  Acupuncture helps to position the baby, ripen the cervix, increase energy, reduce anxiety, manage swelling, and reduce high blood pressure.

What if your afraid of needles?

Tuning fork (sound) therapy is available.  The sound and vibration of the tuning fork will activate the energy pathways of your body and the acupuncture points for you without the use of needles.  This is very gentle and very relaxing.  Reiki, Bodytalk and gentle acupressure can be utilized as well.
