In Studio or In Your Own Home Massage Therapy Treatments

Brian Pretty RMT

I am open again and accepting new appointment bookings after clearing a backlog of clients. New appointments available June 22nd and beyond. Before you come for your appointment  I will contact you by phone to complete a pre-screening Covid -19 questionnaire to determine any symptoms or risks of infection. Answering these questions honestly is crucial to the safety of myself, my other clients, and the general public.

All clients coming for treatment must wear a mask throughout the visit. One will be provided if you don't have your own, but know that supplies are limited. Be certain if you are using your own mask that it is fresh and clean.

HOME VISITS will be only available to clients who cannot travel to me due to distance or disability. There cannot be anymore than 1 other person in the home while I am there, and they must wear a mask or be in another part of the home for the entire appointment. They too must be pre-screened with the covid questionnaire and there are other specific criteria that must be met. I will discuss this with you at the time of booking.

Also note I am no longer moonlighting at a spa, only working in private practice, and I have changed my hours of operation.

Even with santization/disinfection protocols, screening, and the use of personal protective equipment, there is still a risk of infection and some clients may not be treated if underlying health issues place them at greater risk of complications if infected. We must both weigh the risks and benefits before resuming treatment. If you are uncomfortable with the risk, I completely understand.

A little bit about me...

I graduated with honours from the massage therapy program at Georgian College in Barrie Ontario, and am registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. I began my practice in 2013 and have worked as a massage therapist in 2 different spas and at a YMCA camp part-time.

I have a background in the performing arts, singing acting, and dance. I also worked as a mobility specialist in the home care equipment industry fitting people with walkers, customized wheelchairs, and transfer aids. I also have training in psychology and volunteered as a telephone crisis counselor.

Massage Therapy has been a wonderful career and I love what I do. Helping to heal the body, mind, and soul as a massage therapist is truly fulfilling. It is as much a science as it is an art. Massage is an ancient practice, yet we are discovering more and more of its benefits each day. I look forward to working with you to discover these benefits together.
