Covid-19 Massage Practice Guidelines

As of June 11, 2022 the Ontario Government announced that masking mandates in healthcare settings will no longer be in effect.  However, we invite all clients to make their own personal choice and if you prefer to continue wearing a mask please feel free to do so.  Our massage therapists will also be making their own choices about masking.  But if you prefer that your therapist wears a mask during treatment, please let us know and we are happy to accommodate.

Following are some of the Covid-19 protocols which will continue, going forward:

  • 24 hours before your scheduled Appointment you will receive a reminder of your date and time.  Near the top of this email there is a link entitled "Patient Form" which contains the pre-screening questionnaire.  You are required to complete this questionnaire prior to your appointment.  Simply check the boxes, sign it electronically and submit it back to the clinic. When you arrive at the clinic you will be screened again before beginning your treatment to ensure that no symptoms of illness or risk are present.

  • When you arrive at the clinic you may enter immediately with no requirement to wait in your vehicle or the foyer of the building.

  • You will be required to sanitize your hands prior to entering the massage room.  It is also suggested that you do so when you leave the clinic as well.

  • If you develop any symptoms of Covid, colds or flus within the 24 hour cancellation period prior to your appointment, we respectfully ask that you reschedule your appointment.

  • A comprehensive routine for cleaning and disinfecting has been put in place to curtail the spread of infection.  All high-touch surfaces (such as door knobs, light switches, etc. )will be cleaned and disinfected at least twice per day.  The treatment room and all its equipment will be cleaned and disinfected after each use and between clients.  All linens, blankets and pillows will be changed between clients.  Items that are frequently shared (such as magazines, tea & coffee service) have been removed from the waiting area.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we attempt to navigate this evolving clinical environment.  Please know that the safety and well-being of our clients and therapists remain our top priority.   Should you have any questions or concerns in this regard, do not hesitate to discuss them with your therapist.
